We are sooooooo behind with our blogs!! We haven’t even gotten to Jenny and Nick’s wedding from last Saturday and already we had 4 events this past weekend. One way or another we will catch up. Thanks for being so patient with us, especially Jenny. I know she’s been waiting for her own pictures to go up on our blog since hiring us…![]()
We really had a wonderful time in Shiner, part of it was because Jenny had treated us to a stay at this cute bed & breakfast. I had asked Efro to help us write about it because we were swamped with other stuff. Thanks Efro!

After 90 miles of scenery countryside drive on Saturday morning, I arrived at Shiner, TX – Jenny’s hometown and the destination of Jenny and Nick’s wedding. For those who haven’t been there, Shiner is a quiet and friendly small town east of San Antonio with a population around 2000. The town only has one traffic light; that should give you an idea how tiny the town is.
Jenny arranged for us to stay at The Old Kasper House Bed & Breakfast while we were in town. Because of the ceremony rehearsal shoot on Friday night, Alice and Eric had already stayed there the night before. When I was calling Eric for directions to the hotel, Alice couldn’t help telling me how cool the Bed & Breakfast was; it made me wanted to be there ASAP! Oh boy, this place really impressed me when I saw it with my own eyes! I wouldn’t be able to locate it if there was no sign saying “The Old Kasper House”. From the outside, it looked just like any house we see at all neighborhood street corners. There were 4-5 guest houses built right behind the main house. They were built in early 1900s but very well-maintained and beautifully decorated.
As I stepped into the “office†house, I felt I was walking into a friend’s house with bedrooms, a kitchen, a dinning room, and a cozy living room with wood floor. We really enjoyed our stay in Shiner and the Old Kasper House, and I strongly recommend this town for whoever wants to have a relaxing countryside getaway. Stay tuned for pictures from Jenny and Nick’s wedding!!

After checking in, the innkeeper walked me to the “house” where I was going to stay. It was a 3-bedroom house, and my room was right across from Alice and Eric’s room.
The bluebonnets are in full bloom next to the house.
The dining room. The whole house is decorated with antiques.
My room has a French country motif with very cute colors.
There was this little room in Alice and Eric’s bedroom. Not exactly sure what you would call this room…
They turned the little room into their office.
