Honoring the war dead

I hope everyone is enjoying their time off on Memorial Weekend! We had two weddings on Saturday and both of them lasted way passed midnight. By the time Alice and I got home, showered, and went to bed, it was almost 3AM! Good thing there was nothing going on Sunday, we got to slowdown a little and catch our breath. After lunch we decided to visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science yesterday afternoon to check out an exhibit of Wildlife Photographer of the year. On the way there we saw these flags on the lawn at Hermann Park next to the round-about circling Sam Houston Statue. According to KHOU, there are close to 4500 flags!! They were placed in memory of those killed Iraq and Afghanistan.
