Late last year we applied for a WPJA membership because for one thing, it sounds so cool. Secondly, it would set us apart from other photographer’s traditional approach to wedding photography. Unlike any other magazine ad or online listing, a photographer can’t just pay to get in. They actually have a tough screening process in place to make sure you are a true wedding photojournalist before they let you in. We were SO thrilled when we found out we were accepted be to be a part of this talented group of photographers!! What an honor!!!
Once every quarter they hold a photo contest. We never really paid attention to it I guess because we were always so busy running around. This time we thought what the heck…let’s try it. And guess what? We are a winner in WPJA contest! Remember this picture from Stacey and Nick’s wedding? They picked it…heehee! Alice told me to use my name when I was submitting the photo, but she was the one who shot it. I am so proud of her!!!
