Alden Hotel Wedding Photography – Kim + Nick

Kim and Nick live overseas in Perth, Australia and had their wedding here in Houston this past March at one of our favorite hotels in Houston –Alden Hotel! Every year we get a few of those crazy days when we have three weddings in a day. This is the first of the three weddings from March 29th that our trusty photographers Chung and Regine, and Candace from Magnolia Photography covered for us.

Kim and Nick arrived Houston the night before the wedding and went back to Perth after their super duper honeymoon in Hawaii and South Africa!! Believe it or not, we never got to meet Kim and Nick in person. Through numerous email exchanges, I knew Kim was a fun and sweet person. Sure enough Kim and Nick were not only sweet and fun, they’re also a beautiful couple!!!

Anticipation. Love this shot!

Guys waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Isn’t this cool? So modern! I have no idea what flower/plant is. Anyone knows?

I could tell Kim was very nervous before walking out with her sister.

First hug!

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Ok, I don’t know what the photographers told them to do or maybe Nick just wanted to smell the flowers. Either way, Kim had a good laugh back there!

Brilliant idea! Place cards tied to branches.

Congratulations Kim and Nick! Don’t forget to let us know when you visit Houston again someday! We’d love to meet you in person!!:)

Kelly Tarleton (Kim’s sister) - I LOVE all of these! They convey all of the emotion and excitement we felt that day and definitely captures the mood of the party. And they caught them all so sneakily- even with 3 photographers, I never sensed that we were being photographed that much. The candids with my sister mean so much to me :) I love the hook ‘em horns shot!

Dawn - I’m in need of a photog for houston this april (yes, shame on me), and came across your Alden album. Guess where I’m browsing from? Perth! I assume it had something to do with the oil/gas industry that brings us texans here.

Kudos on capturing the little moments in this album.

Cheers,

Dawn
