Houston Zoo Engagement Session – Lauren + Taylor

It was fate that brought us together. Lauren + Taylor came to us through Christine + John, who knew us through Tessy + Ben…or something to that effect (I need to check my facts with them again.) However it happened, it’s really incredible how people are connected each other! This world seems to be getting smaller by the day.

Lauren was a bridesmaid at Christine + John’s wedding. Right after cake cutting, all the girls gather around the cake and each pulled out a wedding cake charm. They formed a tight circle and Christine started reading to the girls the meaning of each charm. Suddenly there was a big commotion and the girls started screaming. I bet you can guess what happened; Lauren got the charm that says she is going to get married next!!

Originally Taylor wasn’t too fond of the idea of engagement portraits, which is normal for any guy. An engagement session used to mean tacky poses and cheesy smiles, so we understand exactly where he was coming from. Our approach to engagement sessions is very different, they are always so much fun and never stressful! We are glad Lauren and we were able to convince him. They decided they want to go to the Houston Zoo to make it a fun date. We were so excited about it because we’ve never shot at the Houston Zoo before. At the end of the session we all had the same conclusion; we were so happy that our session got rained out last week and rescheduled it for this week because the weather just couldn’t have been any better!

* As a side note, you will notice the way we retouched the pictures in this blog is a little different from before. Lauren had mentioned that she likes the vintage look and feel. We thought it would be something fun to try:)

Lauren + Taylor belongs in a fashion magazine. So HOT!!
