Hey there! We are Alice + Eric, owners of Serendipity Photography of Houston, Texas! This is the perfect place to get to know a little more about us both professionally and personally.
The blog is frequently updated with images from weddings, engagement/bridal shoots, baby shoots, you name it. If there are no shoots to blog about, we'll probably show you what Baby Lauren is doing, where we are off to this weekend, what new toys we got, etc...you just never know. Life inspires us, and we want to show you how passionate we are about capturing it on camera.
Whether you are already a fan of ours or you somehow just stumbled onto our blog, we are glad you are here! So come on in!! Take your shoes off, grab a seat, put your feet up on the couch, and make yourselves at home!!
Beautiful model, gorgeous settings, and perfect light. That’s what every photographer wants in a portrait session. We got all three when we were photographing Kendall’s Bridal Portrait Session. Doesn’t she look amazing in her bridal gown? She looked like an angel when the soft light from the sunset was shining on her. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect shoot!

We were back to the ever so popular Houston Memorial CityCentre again to photograph Chi and Tony’s engagement session. They are such a fun couple to be around that we pretty much laughed our way throughout the entire session. They were so carefree that the photographs turned out so natural! At one point during the shoot we sent them inside Free People and Urban Outfitters to let them hang out by the window. Boy did we get some great shots of them! Can’t wait to go back there for another session because it’s always full of surprises!

What does a two-year old want for her birthday? What can a parent do to make her a happy girl on her birthday? Alice and I have been contemplating those questions for quite some time. We thought about throwing Lauren a big birthday party, but it’s probably more for us than for her. We thought about taking her on vacation, but again, that’s more for us than for her. So we decided to hold off on the big celebrations until next year when Lauren will have a better idea what a “birthday” is. So what makes a two-year old happy? Apparently, it doesn’t take much.
We went to Party City to pick out some balloons. Check out Lauren’s reaction when she saw the GIANT Hello Kitty balloon!
Kiss!
She changed to her PJs and went about her day.
Except she had a guest joining her for the cook off.
She loves her birthday gift from Aunt Jenny.
Later in the today, we took her to Monkey Joe’s. It was her first time and she was super excited!!!
We have always enjoyed photographing Jewish wedding ceremonies. It’s filled with energy, excitement, and emotion. There are so many moments to capture from the signing of the ketubah, kiddushin (where women are prohibited to all other men), the blessings, breaking the glass, yichud (bride and groom being alone together in a room), the special dances, and grace after meals. We love the tradition of these weddings as every event is important and fun to photograph!
We love coming to Las Velas to shoot bridal portraits. It feels like we are in the Mediterranean the minute you drive up to this beautiful wedding venue. It has so many little hallways, arches, staircases, columns, gardens, fountains, stained glass, you name it. It may be a small wedding venue, but it has a ton of different photo ops. We are always able to come up with great bridal portraits when we come, of course, having beautiful brides as our models help a lot. You’ve already seen Christina’s engagement session, here is Christina looking totally amazing in her gorgeous bride gown!
