Quyen and Randy eloped 10 years ago and never had a real wedding. She came to us and said that they wanted to celebrate their ten year anniversary by renewing their vows with their friends and family. That is so sweet of them to plan something so wonderful for each other. Since this was going to be their real wedding, she hoped that we could capture all the great moments in a unique and creative style. Well, she came to the right place
We hit it off right away that day and had a great time chatting about her weddings plans.
As with all the weddings, we are very glad to be part of their special day to capture all the great time Quyen and Randy had with their friends and family. We started out at the awesome Hotel Derek documenting all the little things brides go through while getting ready. There was a little bit of time before the ceremony, so we managed to shoot a quick bridal portrait session in the hotel lobby. Afterwards, they went to the church to “get married”, followed by a crazy fun party at Kim Son on Bellaire! They had quite a wedding day and we have the pictures to prove it.

I love all those details on her dress!!

Even though they’ve been married for 10 years, you can see Quyen is still very nervous about walking down the aisle.
Cute portrait! I like!!

I think the guests were supposed to write well wishes for the bride and groom, not for themselves!! HAHAA!
Cool Chinese lantern balls and purple lighting all over the reception.
Crazy fun party. Look at the bride and groom challenging each other!
Yea! That’s how you do a champagne toast!!
One of the big perks of shooting Chinese and Vietnamese weddings is the food!! We get to eat all the goodies like fried rice, lobster, seafood in a birds nest made with fried taro, shrimp salad, and etc. Man…I am getting so hungry just talking about it.
The lovely first dance
Quyen and her son doing a very special mother-son dance.
Randy’s mother-son dance.
HAHA…look at the guys in the back while Randy tries to get the garter with only his teeth!
Thanks Quyen and Randy! Let’s do this again in 10 years
