You might remember that we posted Alice and Lance’s Engagement and Formal Engagement Session images a few weeks back. We also had the privilege to photograph their wedding at Hotel Derek. With both the ceremony and the reception held at Hotel Derek, Alice and Lance had a modern day Taiwanese style wedding. Instead of the the bride walking down the aisle while the groom is watching, they walked down the aisle together with the reception tables already setup. Normally, a tea ceremony would’ve already been concluded before the bride and groom enters the reception room. Alice and Lance skipped the traditional part and added a western twist to their wedding; they had a short legal ceremony performed by Lance’s host parents. The grand exit is also very different from what we see here in America. The bride and groom would stand at the door to thank everyone with sweet candy as they are leaving. So polite!
