    Hey there! We are Alice + Eric, owners of Serendipity Photography of Houston, Texas! This is the perfect place to get to know a little more about us both professionally and personally. Instead of a website where the pictures never change, we want to show you our latest work, all the time!     The blog is frequently updated with images from weddings, engagement/bridal shoots, baby shoots, you name it. If there are no shoots to blog about, we'll probably show you what kind of food we are eating, where we are off to this weekend, what new toys we got, etc...you just never know. Life inspires us, and we want to show you how passionate we are about capturing it on camera.

Holy Rosary Petroleum Club Houston Wedding Photography – Angie + Chris

Angie and Chris had a beautiful wedding ceremony at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. It was followed by a gorgeous wedding reception at The Petroleum club inside The Exxon building in downtown Houston.  Ann Whittington, did a great job planning this wedding and it was a pleasure working with her again! On top of the amazing view, the ballroom was decorated with fabulous centerpieces, chair covers, uplights, you name it! There were so many sweet moments between Angie and Chris throughout the day and we are very glad we were there to capture everything for this happy couple!

First Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Patch Experience

In the month of October, we had the pleasure of photographing many many beautiful weddings and gorgeous couples. It kept us super busy!! No complaints! The only downside to that is we didn’t get to spend enough time with Lauren and therefore not enough pictures of her was taken. After last Saturday’s wedding, our busy month came to an end and we were able to relax a little bit. Yesterday, we finally took her to a pumpkin patch at a local church for her very first Halloween photoshoot. It was our last chance too because they were starting to haul away the pumpkins when we got there! Good thing we still had enough pumpkins left and got some cutest pictures of baby Lauren ever!

Barr Mansion Austin Wedding Photography – Karen + Kevin

If there’s a way to do an outdoor wedding, people should go for it. In our opinion, no artificial lighting is better than the best natural light source we take for granted. I know what most of you are thinking: “We are in Houston, the weather is so unpredictable. What if it rains?” We totally agree with that. It’s a bit of a risk, but it pays off big. It most likely won’t rain and the pictures we get are extra gorgeous! Karen and Kevin brought us to Barr Mansion in Austin because it is an awesome place to have an outdoor wedding. The rooms in the mansion for the bride and groom’s are incredible. It’s a historical building and they are “The nation’s only certified organic event facility”! We think it fits their personalities perfectly!

Telfair Sugar Land Engagement Portrait Photography – Bonnie + Michael

When our couples ask us to make suggestions for engagement session locations, we normally give them a list of our favorite locations to choose from. We are very familiar with those places and know where to get great shots. However, we get excited when our couples take us to new places for their photoshoots. It gets our heart pumping and brain turning because we don’t know what to expect and we are constantly searching for the next great photo op! Bonnie and Michael wanted to have their engagement session done in their neighborhood in Telfair. We have several friends that live in the neighborhood, but it never occurred to us that it’s such a great photoshoot location. We couldn’t ask for better weather condition that day; the sunlight was just perfect. When we saw this big patch of beautiful wildflowers in the middle of an empty field we knew we had hit the jackpot.
