Sandy and Andrew had a tea ceremony at home for their traditional Taiwanese and Vietnamese ceremony, then went to the magnificent St Paul’s United Methodist Church in the Houston Museum District for their western wedding ceremony. The wedding reception was held at the first modern boutique hotel in the city of Houston, Hotel Derek; it’s just a 10 minute walk from The Galleria. Our neighbor, Village Flowery, located in Rice Village, did a very nice job with all the beautiful flowers as always.

Stephanie and Mario had their wedding ceremony at Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and their wedding reception at Hotel Derek. I don’t know why, but we get the most laid-back couples all the time. Probably because Alice and I are pretty laid-back too? Stephanie and Mario are a perfect example of what a laid-back couple is like. They love to have a good time and are so relaxed about everything. They just wanted to enjoy their day and let us wedding photographers worry about getting the best pictures for them. We love it because we can shoot our style and be as creative as we can be. Afterall, that’s why people hire us!

Hotel Derek Bridal Portrait – Emily

We started Emily’s bridal portrait session at our favorite hotel- Hotel Derek. A few minutes into Emily’s bridal shoot, Alice and I were thinking the same thing: “Hey this girl knows what she is doing!” It turns out that she used to do a little modeling when she was younger. We just gave her very general directions and she knew exactly where to look, how to turn her head, and where to put her hands. She was awesome! Needless to say, the shoot was amazing!!

It happened to be my birthday that day too I was very lucky that I got to spend my birthday shooting this super hot bride! You can read about my birthday HERE.

Don’t look too long into her eyes or you will melt!!
