Sandy and Andrew had a tea ceremony at home for their traditional Taiwanese and Vietnamese ceremony, then went to the magnificent St Paul’s United Methodist Church in the Houston Museum District for their western wedding ceremony. The wedding reception was held at the first modern boutique hotel in the city of Houston, Hotel Derek; it’s just a 10 minute walk from The Galleria. Our neighbor, Village Flowery, located in Rice Village, did a very nice job with all the beautiful flowers as always.

Quynh and Quyen sounds slightly different in Vietnamese, but in English, both names sounds very close “Quinn” as far as I could tell. Before the engagement session, Alice and I were wondering how we are going to pose them if they have the same name. Can you imagine this? “Quynh, put your right hand on Quyen’s left shoulder. Quyen, chin down a little and turn towards Quynh a little more. Looking good Quynh, keep that pose!!” Man that’s confusing, it would probably drive them crazy too…HAHA! Luckily, their friends came up with a solution long time ago. They all refer to Quynh as Girl Quynh and Quyen as Boy Quyen when they get together. Much easier right?

The double “Quinns” are one heck of a gorgeous couple! Check out the amazing light we got to work with that day, what a bonus!
